We are living in times of trouble and war. Though some of the effects may have not reached all of us yet -- they soon will as has been prophesied. But, we can find Peace amidst it all. The Savior Jesus Christ said "Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid". The peace we find comes from within and from knowing who we are and who is at the helm. True peace will come in no other way.
As we watch the unfolding of worldwide events we may pray for that peace to be within us. And, He will answer our prayers.
And, for those on the front lines; serving in the military --- he gives this guidance: Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled : A Message of Peace for Latter-Day Saints in Military Service
May we remain steadfast and true despite all that may transpire. For "Joy Cometh in the Morning". Of that we can be sure!
Too often we bask in our comfortable complacency and rationalize that the ravages of war, economic disaster, famine, and earthquake cannot happen here. Those who believe this are either not acquainted with the revelations of the Lord, or they do not believe them. Those who smugly think these calamities will not happen, that they somehow will be set aside because of the righteousness of the Saints, are deceived and will rue the day they harbored such a delusion. - Ezra Taft Benson
