Too often we bask in our comfortable complacency and rationalize that the ravages of war, economic disaster, famine, and earthquake cannot happen here. Those who believe this are either not acquainted with the revelations of the Lord, or they do not believe them. Those who smugly think these calamities will not happen, that they somehow will be set aside because of the righteousness of the Saints, are deceived and will rue the day they harbored such a delusion. - Ezra Taft Benson

He is Here - Importance of Easter

This is all that matters, really.
Let us choose to follow Him.

WATCH HERE:

#BecauseHeLives we too will live again.

I share my personal witness to the world that He lives.  I know this for myself, independent of anyone else.  Study, Meditation and Prayer bring us to the knowledge that the most important things in life aren't things; they are truths learned only through faith.

Jesus Christ is our Redeemer.  He wants us to be happy and at peace.  He is a real person who walked this earth, teaching correct principles to all who would listen.

We, now, have that same opportunity.  It's what matters most for, in the end, we will each be held accountable for what we have done with His name.  Have we served Him or have we chosen otherwise?

As the creator of this earth, and as our elder brother, He has provided a way back to our Heavenly home if we will only heed the promptings of the Holy Spirit, turn to Christ, and obey His commandments.

The world teaches otherwise, but then when was the 'world' right?
It's spiritual things that matter most. I testify to this reality.

Prepare the World for the Second Coming

Many of us who love the Lord and His Holy Word found in scriptures and from modern day Prophets and Apostles - are watching for the signs of His coming and seeking to be prepared both spiritually and temporally.

Part of that preparation includes bringing souls unto Him; where they can learn of Him and His truths and be baptized by proper authority for the remission of sins and by way of entering into a covenant with Him to serve Him.  He promises us, that by doing so, we will receive His added strength and protection.  What an incredible gift this is.

Today I share a bit about the importance of missionary work and the role each of us play in the lives of others.  If we have truth we should share it.  For those who are seeking greater light and knowledge, we hope you will feel free to ask questions. Questions are good; they help us as we seek to find truth.

Preparing the World for the Second Coming

It requires sacrifice on the part of many but the sacrifices are worth it.

My son is currently serving as an LDS/Mormon Missionary in Idaho.  He loves it.  He loves the people and he loves the area; yet it is also long and laborious and hard work.  He wouldn't trade it for anything but often asks us for additional prayers that he may honorably and nobly fulfill this call to serve the Lord full-time (for 2 years).  Andrew in Idaho

Prepare for the Coming Days

I've shared this before but it's worth the reiteration.  We're asked to prepare as best as we can for the days ahead.  I hope we'll consider these things seriously as we've been warned and will have no excuse in coming days.

"For over forty years, in a spirit of love, members of the Church have been counseled to be thrifty and self-reliant; to avoid debt; pay tithes and a generous fast offering; be industrious; and have sufficient food, clothing, and fuel on hand to last at least one year.

"Today there are compelling reasons to reemphasize this counsel. We heard it done effectively in that great welfare meeting this morning. May I add just a word.

"Members of the Church are feeling the economic pinch of higher taxes and inflation coupled with conditions of continuing recession. Some have come to their bishops seeking assistance to pay for house payments, car loans, and utilities.

"Unfortunately, there has been fostered in the minds of some an expectation that when we experience hard times, when we have been unwise and extravagant with our resources and have lived beyond our means, we should look to either the Church or government to bail us out. Forgotten by some of our members is an underlying principle of the Church welfare plan that “no true Latter-day Saint will, while physically able, voluntarily shift from himself the burden of his own support” (Marion G. Romney, in Conference Report, Oct. 1973, p. 106).  - Read full article: Benson
